This completely unique Raw Studios masterpiece is elevated in a secluded spot in the forest. The Hideout is the personification of tiny-house living – but with luxurious finishes and little surprises around every corner. The Hideout is perfect for a private, cosy, romantic getaway, an experience like no other. Snuggle the day away on the large, luxurious bed upstairs, read a book in the comfy nook or enjoy the elevated forest view from the outside deck. To gain access to The Hideout, you enter through an old dam where you will find beautiful braai facilities, a cosy fire pit and a stunning loose standing bath for a romantic & relaxing evening under the stars!

Important notice: Please note that the bedroom is located in the loft and accessed via a light-weight ladder. Therefore the unit is not suitable for babies, toddlers, older guests, ladies over 80kg and men over 100kg.

BED AND BREAKFAST

2024 Rates: R3 500 per night for two people sharing.

2025 Rates: R3 750 per night for two people sharing.

Please note:
*Early check-in from 7am (subject to availability) at extra 50% of normal rate.
*If your booking date is less than 90 days away, you will be required to pay the full amount upon booking. If your booking date is more than 90 days away, a 50% deposit is required when you book and the remaining 50% is payable 90 days before your check-in date (you will automatically receive an email reminder from us). If we do not receive your deposit or final payment, your booking will be cancelled.
*Cancellation policy: Should you wish to cancel your booking and we can rebook the unit, then any monies paid will be refunded to you. If we are unable to rebook the unit, you will not receive a refund.
* The Hideout is situated about 100m from The Greenhouse Café wedding venue, if you would like to book The Hideout and you are not a wedding or function guest, please note that there is a likelihood that you will hear music, guests and noise that could go on until late at night.

BREAKFAST:

Guests staying over on the farm can enjoy a complimentary breakfast from 07h30 – 09h30. Upon check-in, your Accommodation Manager will communicate the specific venue to you (which is subject to availability). The Breakfast is served from 07:30 – 09:30 to allow you to return to your room to pack up and check out by 10am.

LUNCH:

Join us at either of our Restaurants! Operating hours as follows:

ROSEMARY HILL RESTAURANT OPERATING HOURS:

Breakfast and Lunch Weekdays: Monday–Friday from 07:00 to 15:00.
Breakfast and Lunch Weekends: Saturdays, Sundays and Public Holidays from 07:00 to 15:00.
Dinner Service: Monday – Thursday 18:00 – 20:00 (Subject to availability – please note that the restaurant is not open on days when we host weddings).

THE GREENHOUSE CAFÉ OPERATING HOURS:

Monday to Thursday: Closed.

Friday Breakfast and Lunch: 10:00 – 15:00.
Friday Take Away Pizza: 15:00 – 20:00.
Friday Dinner Service: from 18:00 – 20:00.
Saturday Breakfast and Lunch: 07:00 – 15:00.
Saturday Take Away Pizza: 15:00 – 17:45.
Sunday Breakfast and Lunch: 7:00 – 18:00.
Sunday Dinner Service: from 18:00 – 19:30.

OYANA SPA: We have partnered with Oyana Spa, to bring you luxurious treatments during your stay with us! Please note that for your convenience, these treatments are done in your room as it is a mobile spa. For more info click here


MOUNTAIN BIKE TRAILS: Bring your bike and try our 33km trail. Ask your Accommodation Manager for a complimentary day pass!


TRAIL RUNNING: Trail runners can enjoy the 5km or 11km routes. Our trails comprise mostly single track with some jeep track and occasional paved areas. The routes are laid out as a tour through the farm and we have introduced some man-made obstacles to keep things interesting. You can pick up your trail pass at the coffee shop.

HORSE RIDING: A unique and magical horse riding experience for the whole family. Pony rides, horse rides and picnics. To find out more click here


SEGWAY TOUR: Two-wheeled, self-balancing, battery powered personal transporters: Segways are the coolest way to do a fun lap around the farm. Cruise through the herb fields and learn a bit more about our beautiful working farm. To make a booking click here


COUNTRY KIDS: Discovering the bounties of nature on the beautiful Rosemary Hill Farm. Farm walks, tractor rides, swimming, crafts and enjoying nature. Join us for some wholesome activities and adventures. For more info click here


ANIMALS: Although this is not Big 5 country, you are visiting us on a farm and you might come across wild rabbits, donkeys, horses, goats, sheep, guinea fowl, meerkat, bush babies and a rich variety of birdlife.


COFFEE SHOP: Breakfast and lunch can be enjoyed on the patio in the Summer or inside next to the warm fireplace in Winter. No reservation required, service is on a first come first serve basis. For menu and trading hours click here


FARM SHOP: We launched our very own range of hand wash, body wash, hand & body lotion, shampoo, conditioner, linen mist, insect repellent and room spray – all manufactured with essential oils distilled right here on the farm and available for purchase in the coffee shop. We also have homemade baked goods and sweet treats available like fudge, brownies, biscuits, rusks and fresh bread.


MAZE: Take a stroll through our beautiful formal garden. Situated next to our wooden Barn, the Maze is 80m in diameter and is made up of over 2km of pathways and over 2000 trees, herbs and shrubs! Summer, Winter, Autumn or Spring – the Maze always looks beautiful! A lovely garden but also a venue for open-air concerts, weddings, christenings, art exhibitions etc.

TRANSPORT & UBER
Please note that we do not offer guest transport. We do not recommend coming with an Uber as not all the units are close to everything (you will need to pack in comfortable shoes to walk in).

EXTRA MATTRESSES FOR CHILDREN & CAMPING COTS FOR BABIES
Please let us know if you require any of the following:
•Extra mattresses for children (2024): 2 – 12 years (R390) | 13-18 years (R530) | Camping cot (R120 – please bring own linen).

* Maximum one extra mattress/ camp cot per unit and subject to availability.
* Some units are not suited to accommodate an extra mattress due to space constraints.
* Mattresses are for children under 18 only. Adults must please book their own rooms, or if we are fully booked, there are guesthouses down the road.
* Rates include breakfast the next morning.

WEDDINGS AND FUNCTIONS
The Hideout is situated about 100m from The Greenhouse Café wedding venue, if you would like to book The Hideout and you are not a wedding or function guest, please note that there is a likelihood that you will hear music, guests and noise that could go on until late at night.

NOISE RESTRICTIONS
We kindly ask that you be considerate after 22h00 with group gatherings, music and noise.

PETS
No pets allowed at accommodation units, sorry!

WORKING FARM
Please note that this is a working farm, therefore trucks, tractors, staff and maintenance teams are going about their daily business, caring for and improving our facilities. There might be construction in progress near your unit during working hours. Thank you for understanding!

LOST & FOUND POLICY
We kindly ask that you do a thorough room-check before departing. If you leave personal items behind our process is as follows: Our Housekeeping team takes it to the office where it is entered into a register and kept for safekeeping. Guests are then contacted and informed that we found some of their items in the room. Arrangements are made for the collection. If it is not collected within 4 weeks from your date of departure, we donate it to the charities that we support.

BOOKING AND CANCELLATION POLICY
50% deposit is required upon booking, and the remainder is due three months before your arrival date (at which point you can also cancel the booking). If your arrival date is less than three months away, then the full amount is payable upon booking. A refund will only be possible if we are able to rebook your unit.
