THE VILLAGE

We have a small precinct known as The Village which is home to The Dorms, Lofts, Condo and our new Studio Apartments.

It also boasts a Wellness Centre which includes a gym and dance studio.

THE GYM: The  well-equipped gym is complimentary to guests aged 16 and older. From ample free-weights to a circuit machine, various functional aparatus to a Watt bike, treadmill & rowing machine.

THE POOL: The communal pool is available for all guests, complete with a deck and pool bar for the Summer months.

THE DECK: The Deck offers the best views on the farm. Great for a braai and poolside relaxation, while the kids have fun in the pool.

THE DANCE STUDIO: Join us for an invigorating yoga class.Booking is essential.

 

DORM 1 & DORM 2
22 GUESTS (each)

We have two hostels that have been comfortably renovated into a self-catering backpacker-style house and they are situated 400m from Rosemary Hill’s main gate.

The layout is as follows: Communal open-plan kitchen with lounge. Five bedrooms that can sleep 4 people each (furnished with a queen sized bed and bunk-bed) and one bedroom that can sleep 2 people (furnished with a queen sized bed). Each house has 6 bathrooms (1 x en suite upstairs, 1 x en suite downstairs and another 4 bathrooms next to the kitchen which can be allocated to the remaining 4 rooms). The Dorms are ideal for bigger groups.

THE 3 LOFT APARTMENTS

These three contemporary self-catering loft apartments each have a small yard, a porch with a stunning sunset view and an open plan kitchen/lounge.
They are situated 400m from Rosemary Hill’s main gate and 800m from The Greenhouse Café. Each Loft Apartment can sleep up to 4 guests.

Layout Ground floor: open-plan kitchen with lounge and bedroom with King Size bed and en-suite bathroom. The loft has been furnished with two single beds.

Please note that the first apartment has a bath. The second and third apartments have showers.

THE 4 STUDIO APARTMENTS

The apartments are situated at the Village, next to the Wellness Centre.

There are two ground floor units (Units 1 & 2) , each with their own small garden.

The other two units are located on the upper level (Units 3 & 4) and can be accessed via a flight of stairs. These two units have also been fitted with air conditioners for your comfort.

Each unit has a Queen sized bed, seating area, kitchenette and en-suite bathroom with a shower.

BREAKFAST:

Guests staying over on the farm can enjoy a complimentary breakfast from 07h30 – 09h30. Upon check-in, your Accommodation Manager will communicate the specific venue to you (which is subject to availability). The Breakfast is served from 07:30 – 09:30 to allow you to return to your room to pack up and check out by 10am.

FRANCES EHMKE MASSAGE THERAPY Frances specialises in sports massages and deep relaxation massages! Please note that, for your convenience, these treatments are done in your room and is available exclusively for overnight guests.


MOUNTAIN BIKE TRAILS Rosemary Hill has built over 30km of single track on the farm, using innovative methods to create exciting and challenging routes for riders & runners of all levels to enjoy. 5km, 10km & 38km Trails to run, ride OR hike.


TRAIL RUNNING Trail runners can enjoy the 5km or 11km routes. Our trails comprise mostly single track with some jeep track and occasional paved areas. The routes are laid out as a tour through the farm and we have introduced some man-made obstacles to keep things interesting.


HIKING Hikers can enjoy the 5km or 11km routes! Our trails comprise mostly single track with some jeep track and occasional paved areas.


SEGWAY TOUR Two-wheeled, self-balancing, battery powered personal transporters: Segways are the coolest way to do a fun lap around the farm. Cruise through the herb fields and learn a bit more about our beautiful working farm.


COUNTRY KIDS Discovering the bounties of nature on the beautiful Rosemary Hill Farm. Farm walks, tractor rides, swimming, crafts and enjoying nature. Join us for some wholesome activities and adventures.


ANIMALS Although this is not a Big 5 country, you are visiting us on a farm and you might come across wild rabbits, donkeys, horses, goats, sheep, guinea fowls and a herd of Nguni cattle.


COFFEE SHOP Breakfast and lunch can be enjoyed on the patio in the Summer or inside next to the warm fireplace in Winter. No reservation required, service is on a first come first serve basis. Trading hours: Wednesdays to Thursdays from 08:00 to 15:00 (limited menu) and Fridays, Saturdays, Sundays and Public Holidays from 07:00 to 15:00 (full menu). On Mondays and Tuesdays a lovely continental breakfast will be delivered for you to enjoy in your room or as a picnic on the farm.


FARM SHOP We launched our very own range of hand wash, body wash, hand & body lotion, fragrant soaps, shampoo, conditioner, linen mist, insect repellent and room spray – all manufactured with essential oils distilled right here on the farm and available for purchase in the coffee shop. We also have homemade baked goods and sweet treats available like fudge, brownies, biscuits, rusks and fresh bread.


MAZE Take a stroll through our beautiful formal garden. Situated next to our wooden Barn, the Maze is 80m in diameter and is made up of over 2km of pathways and over 2000 trees, herbs and shrubs! Summer, Winter, Autumn or Spring – the Maze always looks beautiful! A lovely garden but also a venue for open-air concerts, weddings, christenings, art exhibitions etc.


THE WALDORF SCHOOL & KINDERGARTEN We share the farm with a private school and hostel on the premises, so you might hear children laughing and playing! Visit them at www.thewaldorfschool.co.za and www.thekindergarten.co.za.

 

TRANSPORT & UBER
Please note that we do not offer guest transport. We do not recommend coming with an Uber as not all the units are close to everything (you will need to pack in comfortable shoes to walk in)

NOISE RESTRICTIONS
We kindly ask that you be considerate after 22h00 with group gatherings, music and noise.

PETS
No pets allowed at accommodation units, sorry!

WORKING FARM
Please note that this is a working farm, therefore trucks, tractors, staff and maintenance teams are going about their daily business, caring for and improving our facilities. There might be construction in progress near your unit during working hours. Thank you for understanding!

LOST & FOUND POLICY
We kindly ask that you do a thorough room-check before departing. If you leave personal items behind our process is as follows: Our Housekeeping team takes it to the office where it is entered into a register and kept for safekeeping. Guests are then contacted and informed that we found some of their items in the room. Arrangements are made for the collection. If it is not collected within 4 weeks from your date of departure, we donate it to the charities that we support.

BOOKING AND CANCELLATION POLICY
50% deposit is required upon booking, and the remainder is due three months before your arrival date (at which point you can also cancel the booking). If your arrival date is less than three months away, then the full amount is payable upon booking. A refund will only be possible if we are able to rebook your unit.
